I have many experiences of long and uncomfortable flights as a soldier quartered in Germany. No matter the flight was going home or to a deployment, I was always worried so I would think of ways that can make the flight delightful. Therefore, I could actually enjoy the flights in my own ways. The tips below will surely help you fly with joy.

1. I know it is difficult to have a nice sleep during long flight. Buying a travel pillow will be a good choice as it helps you to rest your head. Thus, you will feel much more comfortable.

2. Motion sickness will cause nausea which you will feel really uncomfortable during your flight. To reduce the possibility of having this sickness, I would recommend you to take some Dramamine before you depart. As usual, you have to consult your doctor for the amount you have to take.

3. Tight clothing makes you really uncomfortable during long flight. So, it would be much better to wear loose clothing instead. The temperature inside an aircraft will be lower as the plane is at a high altitude. It will be advisable to bring extra clothes to cover your body when you feel cold.

4. Bring some snacks along and also extra cash, as you may crave something suddenly. You may also buy some extra drinks or snacks from the stewardess for a few dollars if you want.

5. As you may get bad breath or sweaty during the flight, bring your personal hygiene items along. With toothpaste, deodorant and baby powder, you can be refreshed easily in your long flight.

6. You may consider bringing your portable DVD player or laptop with you. You can watch movies, play games and do your work. Sometimes, the monitor on the plane is too far away and the movies that are showing may not be your appetite.

7. To enable yourself can get a good sleep, you may want some shots of alcohol, if you are a drinker. You may take some extra cash along and pay a little to enjoy a shot of liquor, which can let you fall asleep easily.
