I Am Coming- The Dead Sea

Although I don’t like to travel in hit travel spots, I will not skip the Dead Sea. Here comes some tips to share with you when you go travel in the Dead Sea.

Dead Sea is the safest sea ever to swim in – if you can ever dive deep enough to swim that is. It basically feels like you’re being thrown to a sea of jelly that keeps your body above the water level. It may take a while to get used to but you can never experience the same anywhere in the world.

Have you shoes on before you try to land on the bottom of the Dead Sea. With its unbelievably high salt content, rough salt crystals usually cover up the bottom of the sea and it can be a pain if you get cut by those. Here is a little tip – dig out your dorkiest shoes from your cabinet and take a picture of them when you are in it, post it on the Internet and share it with your friends!

You will be totally amazed if I tell you the Dead Sea is indeed a lake, not a sea! It is also the lowest place on Earth. The natural materials in the water is indeed famous for skin care and it helps respiration. For some costly hotels which are along the sea side, they provide service on spa treatment which uses the mud from the sea.

Wrapping yourself with the Dead Sea mud is a must try item. You will find it amazing when you try to feel how smooth your skin becomes after experiencing the mud-wrapping for 20 minutes in a dark room.

There are three things you should remember, do not shave for at least two days before you get in the Dead Sea, do not get in the Sea if you have wounds, do not let your face touch the water so as to protect your eyes. Keep these in mind or else you will experience a very painful holiday.

Remember to put on your oldest outfit. The sea water with that level of salt content will discolor about everything that you put on. Rinse your body, together with what you are wearing immediately when you are out of the water, not only does the water can discomfort your skin, it also ring a layer of grime that is really hard to remove.

Lastly, keep your visit to the Dead Sea short. There aren’t much going on around this little place, and you may get bored pretty quick as floating is about the only thing that you can do. You may instead choose to walk around and explore the surrounding areas as they offer a lot of outdoor activities such as hiking and cycling.
